Aluminum-Fireboats
History
I’m Bob Ducey, and I live in Sarasota. I've had a passion for boating since serving in the USCG. As a member of a Sarasota Boating Club, I’m on the water every week. I know the waters and I know the problems of drifting sand in the water. Dozens of boaters get stranded every day on sandbars. And the sand is always moving. When I read about Miami-Dade Fire Rescue buying two 50ft Aluminum Fireboats with waterjet propulsion, it made a lot of sense. The waterjet propulsion allows the boats to travel quickly to emergencies over shallow water. Firemen can focus on the emergency and not worry about the depth of the water.
Following my boating passion, I import aluminum fishing boats from the largest aluminum boat factory in Asia. (We just delivered a 27ft aluminum fishing boat to my Sarasota Boat Club). These same aluminum fishing boats have now been engineered to meet the requirements of Fireboats.
The Florida Fireboat market is dominated by a handful of Boat Yards that also manufacture Patrol Boats for military and law enforcement. Patrol Boats are expensive. Boat Yards normally modify their Patrol Boat designs for their Fireboats. Our approach is different. We offer quality aluminum fishing boats that have been enginnered to integrate with industry standard firefighting systems, and electronics and navigation systems. Plus, we offer our powerful waterjet propulsion, all with exceptional savings.
Our boats are manufactured by the largest aluminum boat factory in Asia. They build dozens of boats every month with the highest quality aluminum welding in the marine industry. (invitation to inspect the boat in Sarasota) We purchase our aluminum boats at low factory prices. The boats are shipped to Tampa for installation of waterjet motors, firefighting systems, and electronic and navigation systems, by factory specialists. Each installation undergoes rigorous acceptance tests. The boat is then ready for commissioning with customers.
